We are grateful for the continued support of our generous donors, volunteers, and stakeholders across Connecticut and hope that we can continue to count on you during this time. Many of our program participants live alone and on very limited budgets. We are seeking donations so that we can provide food, toiletries, household supplies, and Mending Art Kits to our program participants.
We all know the value in the basic necessities of food and household supplies, learn from MHC's Mending Art Director about the importance of Mending Art Kits:
"Art can benefit us by providing a feeling of more peace, less anxiety, and an ability to focus. These are just a few ways art has a powerful impact on our wellbeing. The Mending Art Kits we are creating will be distributed to MHC participants throughout our agency to brighten their days and inspire them to use art during this time. Mending Art Kits help keep our participants connected to their creativity, are a tool our participants can use for stress management, and hold opportunities for exploration." - Amy Smith, Mending Art Director
Mending Art kits contain items such as coloring books, colored pencils, markers, notebooks, and sketchpads.
